A lot of people from foreign countries presently live in Shinagawa Ward
and share a lot of things with us in our daily living. Since many of them are
not good at speaking Japanese, they have difficulties in many aspects of their
lives.
We, SIFA help those people from foreign countries who are not good at speaking
Japanese increase their abilities in Japanese conversation so that they can
get along easily in their daily living. We started "Japanese Language Course"
in April 1990 for the purpose that students in the Japanese language class
establish wonderful friendships with people living in Shinagawa Ward.
Japanese language course is offered twice a year in April (The first session)
and September (The second session). The course includes 20 lessons. (Two
classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday every week.) The original textbook we
produced by ourselves is used in the classes, and the classes are taught by
experienced and qualified teachers in teaching Japanese.
